Quick Tip – Steel Weight Formula for Site Engineers

Want to quickly find the weight of steel rods on site? Use this formula:

Weight (kg/m) = D² / 162
Where D = diameter in mm.
Example: 12 mm rod → (12×12)/162 = 0.89 kg/m
This formula helps you cross-check quantities during site deliveries.

Our BOQs include such practical tools for engineers and site supervisors.
